Comfortable detached cottage located in the small mountain village of Laroque De Fa (144 inhabitants) nestling on a winding, picturesque road in Cathar country midway between Carcassonne and the coast. The village derives its name from the latin words roca meaning crag and fanum meaning temple. The River Sou, the main tributary of the Orbieu, flows though the village and the area is steeped in history. Most of the cottages are built from stone from the 12th century château which formerly stood on the site and there are ruins of an ancient aqueduct in the village. The cottage has its own unfenced garden with garden furniture, BBQ and garage and there are numerous hot springs and gorges nearby for swimming.

The first 56kw of electricity per week is included in the rental, any additional consumption and heating will be charged at cost. Guests will need to bring sheets and pillow cases with and towels and tea towels. Blankets and French style pillows are provided. A fully refundable security deposit of 150 Euros is payable to the owners on arrival.

Arrival time is from 1600 hours and departure time is up to 1000 hours. Charges for heating and end of stay cleaning are payable to the owner on site.

N.B. In France cleaning the property at the end of the holiday is considered to be the responsibility of the holidaymaker. Please ensure that you leave the cottage clean and tidy at the end of your stay. Failure to do so will mean that a charge for cleaning will be deducted from your security deposit.
